This HD (Heavy Duty) billet RPR/American Firing Pin Back or cocking piece represents the the near maximum amount of material that could be added to the part and still remain fully reliable in the OEM shroud. Our original billet pin back has been a great success that we will continue to produce, and for the average shooter will do the job with great results, but for those that shoot and dry fire in great volume this part will offer the maximum in failure prevention.
Machined from a solid, pre-hardened 4140 alloy billet, this is then nitrided for increased surface hardness, increased wear resistance, increased corrosion protection, and to provide a deep black color. This fully machined part will get the job done without the heightened risk of failure.
Furthermore, this part is lighter than the stock part so it can also increase lock time performance all while being harder which helps decrease cocking effort.
*NOTE* This firing pin back is not compatible with RPR rimfire, American rimfire or the RPR magnum rifles.
